Rules and Guidelines

»First and foremost... understand that whatever happens IC is IC and should not be delt with OOC. If you don't like someone OOC, don't bring it IC. If you don't like someone's IC character, don't bring it OOC. These two should NEVER meet. It is totally unprofessional and unethical.

»We love drama... please, bring good drama. We hate it when the SL seems to be focused around a certain person or people. We won't tell you how to run your character but we'd love if your character got involved. However, please be reasonable. Your characters actions must be believeable otherwise, they will be negated.

»There is no maximum to how long you can post. We love detail... but know that after a certain number of people participating in the room at once, there will be no RP post order. It will be free post. And please... we all have lives but try to give at least three hours a week?

»Let's be adults, please? Please be respectful to your fellow player. The owners of the SL will not settle your disputes for you. If you and another are too immature to get along, that's your problem... but your results better not break rule number one.

»There will be no sexual themes inside the public RP room... that means, no sex... oral, intercourse, anal... none of it. Private room, IMs, feel free to do it. But don't bring it into the main RP room... no one wants to see how crappy you are at cybering. :P

»In the e-mail of your application, for Subject, type... "Bread and Butter, bread and Butter, Bread and Butter"

»Besides all that sexual bs... there will be mature themes such as drugs, alcohol, violence... it builds the drama so expect to see this. If you're not old enough to handle this or aren't mentally capable of it... don't join, or exclude your character when those times come. And incase things are missunderstood (as they have been)... violence is accepted, yes. Fights are permitted but if those involved are caught IC, they will receive the proper punishment.

»Role-play rooms can be opened without an owner... meaning the members may open a room... but we ask that you please keep a log of what's been going on and e-mail it to the owners of the SL so we know what happened. Personal sessions don't need to be sent to owners... that's your business.

»Your character is going to be a mutant since this is a mutant SL. It's also a school so there will be no masters of their powers. There will be no mind-control users... puppet users are fine as long as the mun whose character is being controlled accepts and tells a mod.

»At the beginning of your application, in the body of the e-mail... type "Donc, je voudras savoir: soyez mon Valentin!"

»Players may create three characters. (3 teachers, 3 students, a teacher and a student, 2 teachers - 1 student, 2 students - 1teacher). However... before a person can create an alternate character, they must have played their first character with the group for at least 2 weeks.

»Since there are but so many powers and abilities out there... we understand that it's going to be difficult to find one once there are many people in the SL. And so... we will allow 2 characters per power (except teachers... they can't use a power a follow teacher has but may use one that 2 students already have). However... if you have two or more characters, they cannot have the same powers. For example; if Sally creates Mary and Mary has pyrokenetics and she decides to make a second character, the second character cannot have pyrokenetics too. In addition... your character can have up to two powers. We will ask that you explain the powers and their limits. In addition... in order to make a third character, we would like to see that you've been an active player in the SL for 1 month. Your third character is only permited to one ability and cannot join a fraternity or sorority.

»There will be Squad Meets. What's a Squad Meet? Ever notice how in college there are several stepping squads from different fraternities who face off in battles? Well... here, your squad will meet up in a battles... every Friday. If the team your squad is up against has a lower ratio say 3:4... choose which character from the team with the higher ratio sits out. In the meantime... your squad can have up to five people. If the ratio ends up 3:5... sit out two people from the team with the higher ratio. The characters who sat out with automatically have a place in the next fight should another ratio issue arouse.

»I, AJ, am a firm believer in equality... my characters don't benefit more than yours do. If your character gets suspended for fighting... so will mine... but I will not go out of my way to play the headmaster to catch your character commiting an offense to bring them to suspension. I will, however, acknowledge a complaint made by a character who is not my own, to the headmaster about another character. He will address the issue by having a sit-down with both characters and discussing it.

»At the end of your application... at the very bottom, type... "I'll trade you my pickle for a nickle"

»By the way... rape will not be delt with. If your character is accused of raping another or is a suspect... he/she will be taken into custody until the victim says yes or no. If the victim denies, your character will still be monitored. If there's a yes, your character will be expelled from the school. You can enter with another character but the one that is expelled must comply or you will be kicked from the SL.

»Please make a myspace for your character and turn over a link for us in your application. This makes things a lot more fun to keep blogs and track of who's active. Plus... it saves us space on the site as well as a huge hastle of creating a directory and half a million pages for every individual's info. In addition, one would be able to post up more pictures and block their profile from people who aren't in the SL. You may create a yahoo e-mail address or hotmail e-mail address to do so.

»Over all... understand that this is an SL about having fun. So please... no bullshit... no nonsense... keep the drama IC. If something about the SL is working for you, bring it up to me or one of the owners and we can probably help you. I can't guarantee things will go 100% your way but we will do the best we can. We do understand that an SL isn't an SL without its members so we truly appreciate you. Please... appreciate our rules.
